During his years spent in the Dominican Republic, Stéphane witnessed the needs and expectations of tourists visiting the country. He was also able to observe the direct impact of tourism on the environment and local communities. Are you concerned about the environment and do you want to contribute to the preservation of our paradise island in the Dominican Republic while stimulating the local economy?
The Maya Foundation shares your values and is committed to preserving the environment while recognizing the importance of economic activities for local communities. We are aware that certain activities can have a negative impact on the ecology, but we have a sustainable solution to help reduce this impact.
We are looking to acquire land to ensure the sustainability of our project, and we need your help. You can donate to buy plots of land, which will be used to grow different varieties of fruit trees, such as mango trees and cocoa. In addition to preserving the environment, this will also create jobs in the field of agriculture. We plan to build small houses for our farmers, so that they have a place to live and work in harmony with nature.

Middle School
The Maya Foundation is determined to fill the gaps in the educational system in the Dominican Republic by prioritizing the establishment of a college where education would be more advanced and specific for young Dominicans. We aim to apply the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) program (https://ibo.org/fr/) which develops in young people the intellectual curiosity, knowledge, sensitivity and determination necessary to succeed. Students trained with this program are endowed with indisputable assets by strengthening their critical thinking skills and cultivating their curiosity and their ability to solve complex problems.
However, we are aware of the many challenges faced by educational institutions in the region, such as lack of expertise, focus on student success, and educational materials. This is why we want to help the most disadvantaged young people by setting up a sponsorship system for those who really want to progress. We also plan to implement a sports-study program to complement our student support program, thus offering a complete and quality education for young people in the region.
By investing in the education of these young people, you are not only helping to change their lives, but you are also contributing to a better future for the whole community.
